I'm not far from Duxford and a Lancaster flew over the house at low altitude several times over the last few weeks, I assume it's been part of the recent displays. Didn't see the Spittys tho' - must have been awesome!

Thanks! I can't imagine the sound of 16 RR Merlins roaring overhead. Literally bring you back in time to an era where it was commonplace.

One time, a few friends and I were on a short road trip (prob one of our many forays to the Smithsonian-the Air & Space of course!) when one of 'em screamed "..it's a Spitfire!". Sure enough, when I got a chance, I glanced and the definitive shape of a Spitfire was flying parralel to us!
