Default Adlertag #2 online event: Saturday, October 21 at 1900 GMT on the ATAG Server

Coming off the roaring success of Adlertag #1 which actually filled the ATAG server, we are announcing Adlertag #2 thanks to Polak and his noble ~OBT Squad. Be sure to join us on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 1900 GMT on the ATAG Axis vs Allies Server. All welcome, plus this event will be accessible to both Blitz-only and Blitz/Tobruk players.

@Noofy - take a look at the Blue spawn points. I added a couple just for you!

Cheers and see you all on Saturday!

SCRAMBLE!!!

The following information from our Intelligence Services is now definitely confirmed.

The Luftwaffe have decided to launch their final offensive against England.

Early this morning, two mass bomber raids were detected above Kent. RAF Eastchurch and RAF West Malling were hit hard, as well as the dockyard area of Sheerness.

Now, it seems clear that it is our sector that will be attacked next.

Radar stations have just detected two enemy formations regrouping in the Le Havre sector (AO.5), probably between 9000 and 15000 feet.

Be extremely careful! Bf 109's of Jagdgeschwader 27 and Bf 110's of Zerstörergeschwader 2, seem to be present in large numbers to escort their comrades!

All available aircraft must take off immediately and intercept these incoming raids.

PRIORITY OBJECTIVES:

Intercept these two German raids before they can drop their bombs.
Stop them before they can reach the coast.
Organize coastal patrols and interception raids over the Channel.
Protect all airfields between Shoreham (AM.19) and Southampton (AF.21) as well as the port areas of Southampton and Portsmouth.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVES:

Three merchant ships have just left the Port of Southampton, heading east. Protect them.

Two groups of Royal Navy ships are patrolling to the east of the Isle of Wight,
one heading east, the other west. Again, protect them.

Protect Ventnor Radar Station (AE.17)

Protect Poling Radar Station (AK.19)

Available aircraft:

RNAS Ford (AK.19) No 23 Squadron
Spitfire Ia (100oct)
RAF Tangmere (AJ.20) No 601 Squadron
Hurricane I (Rotol 100oct), Hurricane I (DH 5-20100oct)

RAF Westhampnett (AJ.20) No 602 Squadron
Spitfire Ia (100oct)

RAF Gosport (AG.19) No 609 Squadron
Spitfire Ia (100oct)

RNAS Lee on Solent airfield (AG.19) No 609 Squadron
Hurricane I (Rotol 100oct), Hurricane I (DH 5-20100oct)

RAF Hamble (AF.20) No 213 Squadron
Hurricane I (Rotol 100oct), Hurricane I (DH 5-20100oct)

RNAS Southampton (AF.21) No 152 Squadron
Spitfire Ia (100oct)

Sandown airfield (AG.17) No 23 Squadron
Hurricane I (Rotol 100oct),
Radar information is available on TAB 7 1 and will give pilots the position of enemy planes relative to their position, if close enough.

Comrades: as you know the final offensive against England has begun!

Today is 'Adlerangriff' but many raids have been cancelled this morning due to bad weather.

Only comrades from Lehrgeschwader 1 and Kampfgeschwader II were able to drop their bombs successfully on targets in Kent.

You must plan to escort the next two bomber raids over sectors in Hampshire and West Sussex.

PRIORITY OBJECTIVES (Fighter pilots):

All Jagdgeschwader 27 and Zerstörergeschwader 2 fighter pilots must take off immediately and gain altitude above the Seine Estuary! (AO.5)

They must rendezvous at 5000 meters (AO.5) at 12h10 with the first group of Bf 110 bombers from III/LG 1, escort them to their target and back to France.

Other pilots must rendezvous at 4000 meters (AO.5) at 12h25 with the second group of Ju 87 Stukas from I/LG 1, escort them to their target and during their return to France.

If pilots miss the rendezvous with the bombers, they will leave their charges unescorted over England and vulnerable to attack. They will be solely responsible for the fate of their comrades!

Fighter pilots must organize close escort above the bombers! As Colonel Adolph Galland said it makes you 'a dog on a leash' but it is absolutely necessary!

Some fighter patrols will nevertheless be able to fly ahead of the bomber stream to patrol above the target area, in order to deny the RAF air superiority. (Patrol the coast from Shoreham (AM.19) to Southampton (AF.21)

SECONDARY OBJECTIVES (Bomber pilots):

Three merchant ships have just left the Port of Southampton, heading east. Sink them!

Two groups of Royal Navy ships are patrolling to the east of the Isle of Wight,
one heading east, the other west. Sink them!
