I think that memory leak is related to old(current) graphics engine. It will not be presented in the new engine, at least will not be the same.
Even there is memory leaks in the new graphics engine, it will be easier to catch them, as the engine is better coded.

Great news regarding the upcomming patch!

A comment regarding the autumn landscape. I think the colour of the trees should vary much more. In a real autumn forest trees differ quite a lot i colour. Such change would make the landscape more live.
