Repaints?
is it possible in the next release to improve or redo the paint schemes of the following:
1. artillery balloon, currently has German markings only, if selecting red for Allied there is no other color. 2. opel blitz trucks stay in panzer grey regardless of map except for radio and medic, they are camoflaged. 3. Russian studebaker trucks have a nearly white canvas top, can it be changed to a olive/dark green. Russian gaz aa trucks have a similar very light colored canvas top. 4.Pontoons and ramps, only in panzer grey, need olive or dark green. 5.merchant ships in general, no camo schemes or different colors. 6. need some hospital tents. |

BUT, early war US canvas used khaki rather than olive drab, which often faded in the sun to a lighter color. Any of the these colors would be appropriate, possibly lighter due to fading: http://olive-drab.com/od_soldiers_gear_ww2webgear.php Quote:

In particular, there should be a Bailey Bridge object for the allies: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bailey_bridge Quote:
The only problem is that there usually was no standardization of paint schemes for civilian ships, nor were there consistent camouflage schemes for military ships. Each shipping company had its own livery - typically different colored funnels or bands around the funnels. Camouflage for military ships varied by year and country. Ideally, it would be possible for players to produce their own skins for ships and ground objects to allow for the vast diversity of paint schemes. Maybe. Aid stations and hospital units were relatively rare. Mobile hospital units tended to be well behind the lines (beyond enemy artillery range). In any case, they were usually separated from other military units and were seldom deliberately targeted, since they were protected by the pre-WW2 Geneva Accords. They'd be "nice to have" as scenery, but they don't represent legitimate military targets. |
