Default How protected are we?

It's fantastic to see some of the creative input from the community. There are some really talented individuals out there that are going to add some really good content to this sim.

That said, how protected are we from people modifying the game for cheating purposes?

Is steam being effective in controlling mods being used in Multiplayer games?

I've read the warnings about using mods possibly leading to having steam accounts revoked, but is that currently in place or is that still to come?

Can Server administrators restrict users on their servers from using mods?

Cheers!

I would say for now: not protected at all.some server admins have VAC on, but nobody knows if its working or not.
And until someone comes here shouting that they have been banned we may never know...

No one likes a cheater!
Let's hope we get the option like Oleg stated way back about servers for mods and no mods.

V.A.C. appears to be disabled (last I heard at least). I would hope there is an official announcement when it's enabled.
