**BIG NEWS** for the FMB -huge find by FG28_Kodiak
Ok well it's BIG news for me..
I've been trying to figure this out since the game was released!! At long last it's solved...You can now play user made campaigns AND save your campaign and carry on where you left off another day.. This is how - 1. Copy the contents of your STEAM campaign folder ( C:\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\parts\bob\mission\campaign ) to C:\Users\Simon's PC\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign 2. search for the file called state.ini ( if you open this file the number relates to what mission you are on..) 3. copy the state.ini file into every campaign folder at C:\Users\Simon's PC\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign Simple as that !! I can now start mission building for COD HUGE thanks to FG28_Kodiak for pointing this out on the FMB forum. Whoo Hoo ! Simon . |

Going through my archive of downloaded campaigns for 1946, such enjoyment . This would be a massive bonus for CoD if user made campaigns are coming along.

The BIG problem was that when playing a user made campaign it never saved your last mission so when you re-start the game, go to the campaign you had to fly again from the beginning...and spend ages skipping through to the point you left before...
The stock campaigns did not have this problem and I think one or two of the Russian made campaigns got around this by using scripts... The main fault of course is the crazy install of COD... To design and save missions in the FMB you must use the missions folder at - C:\Users\Simon's PC\Documents\1C SoftClub to play missions and campaigns you then need to copy files/folders to C:\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\parts\bob\mission\ and finally to make sure you can continue a campaign, also copy folders to C:\Users\Simon's PC\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission and put a state.ini file in each folder.... He He! Simples ! why ohh why we just cannot have one folder for everything ?!?! Funny these Russians ! . |
