Default Project galba

We saw some beautiful pics some while back of the aircraft that were work in progress of the planned Korean war expansion for storm of war. Any chance we might get an update one day where this project is at?

In hope...

Last we've heard is that the project is on hold because the team has joined the SoW development. Work is supposed to restart once the main release is done. It's of course possible that there is some low-profile work by modelers or such going on. Will be interesting to see how fast new scenarios can be produced once the core engine is done (fingers crossed )

It's good to know that the P51, F86 and assorted planes are sitting on a harddrive somewhere waiting to be finished off when SOW is released.

I think that Oleg said once that once finished the main engine (SOW) we probably will see one new installment every 1 or 1,5 year...
Nobody knows about the role third party might have doing their own add-ons too.

Wasn't Battle for Moscow a tournament they were advertising and not an expansion? I thought it was widely known that North Africa would be part of the mix after Battle of Britain.

SaQSoN himself said that he hoped Galba would be the first expansion to be released. I'm not sure that that idicates that it is near completion, but it indicates that there is at least a possibility of this.

Project Galba (by luthier) should be the first addition to the series considering all the work that has been done so far by luthier's team.

I'm hoping Oleg's team is still considering doing the Med in his next addition to the SOW series. Although I'm sure there is some local pressure to do the Eastern front.

I have no idea what the Battle of Moscow is all about. Third party addon? or a competition??? If it is an third party addon its doubtful it will be as far along as Galba. Either way it shouldn't effect Oleg's team if he's doing the Med.

think about the things you could do in a korean senario:

carrier ops.

fly high performance piston aircraft - the final evolution of the WWII-era fighters - the F4U-4/5, seafury and La-9

fly early jets - the Mig-15, F-86 and F9F

nightfighter missions with the Tigercat

You could even fly the Polikarpov U-2 in bombing raids. Maybe the A-26 too.
