Mission Builder GATTACK_POINT vs GATTACK_TARG
It seems that GATTACK_POINT works best for level bombers
while GATTACK_TARG allows dive bombing. Am I understanding this correctly or is there something I can read up on? |

pretty much how i understand it.
Area attack- AI just level bomb the area indicated without aiming for specific targets Target attack allows several different types of attack, such as dive bombing, and will try to attack the specific target you've set it to (or nearest AI target if not set). They will try to attack AI types such as AA rather than say static aircraft. I'm getting 'probs' with number of attack passes if there's no enemy planes in the vicinity- Stukas will reattack with machine guns even if set to one pass. Fighter ground attack is 'somewhat limited', running a set routine that pays no attention to AA threats- something allegedly being redone for BoM |
