Yeah, I discovered that already, was just not sure if the forum was dead or not.

I just modified the paint job to the Western star 4900EX. Here's a few pictures and I might upload my file later on tonight.

Here I finally compressed the file using winzip ! And also added a readme file with instructions. Enjoy !

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

Nice job for us bikers. Please up-load your files with the necessary instructions for our members, or I’ll have to move this to the general pictures thread.

Skin I'm making. It's buck 65 theme. His music really fits in game too :] If you don't know him I suggest checking out his " This right here is" and "Seacret house against the world" albums.

Buck 65 truck skin. Listen to this album (this right here is) when u try this :]

I don't know in which thread I should be posting this, but it deals with skins/mods.

  1. Is it possible to make a re-skinned truck available to a hired driver?
(I would like to be able to identify my company trucks when I pass them on the road.)

  2. Is there a limit as to how many custom re-skinned trucks are in the game?

  3. Is there a limit as to how many of the same model of truck receive custom skins?
4. Is there a limit as to how many of these stupid questions you'll tolerate?

Thank you for your time.

You can ID your drivers by their License Plate. Whatever you named your plate at the beginning, such as Bob01, then the other drivers will appear as Bob02, 03, etc. Someone once showed this to me, but I can’t remember who. As for the rest of your questions, I think it may be possible, but you’ll have to wait, and see what one of our Modelers have to say.

Cool.
I think I saw the license plate trick in the Hired Drivers/Management, New Trucks, Income, Offices, & Related Questions thread, and it made me think it might be pretty cool to put NickTrucking logos on the fleet as well, just to make them easier to spot.

Another Question:

It seems to me the only way to apply skins is to replace one of the color options for a given truck with the custom one, and go have it sprayed at a truck stop using the 'Restyle Truck' tab.

Does that mean that if I use the spot allocated for green to put a custom skin, green won't be available to all the AI trucks of that model in the game?

If so, it seems if I make six custom skins for the same model (Freedom, for example), that would exhaust all regular color options for that truck, meaning no Freedoms would be seen in the game other than mine, and I wouldn't want to do that.

Or would the AI trucks still have the full choice of stock color options available to them?

(I ask because I'm thinking of applying a different number to the side of each truck)

Sorry if I'm being a pain.

I'm going to start playing around with skins soon, but it'll be a while before I start amassing a fleet, so the modelers have plenty of time to post.

1. I thinks it is possible. You repaint that truck the skin you want, and give it to the driver.

Default BJ and the Bear Skin

Greeting, all. I'm new to this forum but I've had a life-long fascination with trucks. I've been following the messages on skinning and wanted to give it a go myself. Here's my attempt at the BJ and the Bear scheme. Unfortunately, there are no K100 Aerodynes in the game so I used the Argosy. Also, I left the wording off the doors as it was too small and didn't look very good. Hope you like it.
