B-24 Liberator. Go ahead and say it a few times then tell me it doesn't sound like one badass plane.

Um what else but the Yak-3!!! lol

Seriously though, I think the FW-190A "Butcher Birds" is a cool name. They were given that nickname by the Brits when they started to show up over England, and began slaughtering Spitfires and Hurricanes.

i like black widow.

I also like "widow maker" but i just like the name, it was named that for all the wrong reasons

And for the benefit of soviet ace -

the FW190 mostly abused the shitfire the hurricane was out datd as a fighter by the end of 1940 so wasnt really out and about dogfighting over europe to much, if it did run into a FW190 then i feel sorry for the lufwaffe pilot who would of got his ass handed to him by the hurricane hahahahaha.

Ok the highlighted part is a tiny lie

But on the whole, not many hurricanes were destroyed by the 190.

What about the Brits in North Africa? They were flying Hurricanes during 1940. But there weren't any FWs in North Africa at that time that I know of.

Another cool name is the "Zero". Funny how it was more than a "Zero". But I understand why it was called the Zero.

We had hurricanes in the african theatre throughout the war. As a fighter at first because it could hold its own against the 109E, but then later models started to surface and also the italian planes and the hurricane was out matched. They had hurricanes escorting hurricanes, for example -

for were patrolling or attacking, with 4 flying top cover protecting them. The lufwaffe would slughter the hurricane in africa after 1940. But once the spitfires started turning up the hurricane found a new role as a "hurribomber" and left the dogfighting to the spitfire.

In 40-41 the 190 was far superior to everything we had, it was so much better than the current spitfires. Only when the IX started showing up did the 190 have a fair fight on its hands.

Maybe i like the hurricane so much because it does the role i prefer to do in flying game... ground attack, yet the ability to dogfight if need be. I guess i always liked the hrrucane since i wa a young boy, when everyone used to adore the spitfire, yet the hurricane used to sit on the side lines rather neglected. All i say is -

let the fan boys have their shitfire id take a hurricane anyday.
