Question IL-2 COD Sound issues

Hi,

IL-2 COD Sound issues:

1)Sound is good from 20% to 100%
2)Sound cuts off is low and engine of aircraft is around idle speed sitting, or idle in the air.
3)Move the throttle a little beyond idle and it increases the sound with engine rpm.

No other sound problems in IL-2 1946
Black Shark, A-10C , Stalker..

MSI P7N Nvidia motherboard with core2duo 3 ghz cpu, W in7, 4gb ddr22 ram 500 gb hard drive space.. Sata hard drive and ide hard drives, Roadrunner Turbo with high speed (runs nivce high speeds).
Saitek X52 Pro with pedals
46" LCD TV (HDMI connection)

Coolermaster gaming mouse.

=======

Is there some audio setting I can adjust in some INI file?

IL-2 COD was purchased on dvd an use on Steam.

runs nice, at medium setting in multiplayer..

Sound issue main problem..

I usually use USB headset with microphone....
I usually plug directly into the usb ports on motherboard, but can also use a self powered usb HP 7-port hub.

I have asked before, and never found a fix..

I want to hear the sound from engine start>idle> add rpm> etc..
I have no problems with the environmental sounds, like the wheels running over the dirt ruts on the runway and takeoff on the fields and grass and dirt.. nor the other sound like flaps, wheels, guns, wind, etc..

thanx..

*I hope this is the correct forum for my problems and question,..

I have tried re-updating drivers, again, for the 10th time, I set my sound to veyr high,, I played rock music al day to test sounds, I flew over London in big air battles, to hear engines, landed, and took ff,,, I have doen everything and stil am not real happy, it's either to loud or I can't hear the gnines at idle.. if I put hte window opn and door down, I can hear the engine idle.. but an old fart like me doesn't want the loud game, it gives me a headache very quickly... even though the engines sound cool...
(or Hot!)..

The sound is still beta and it depends on which aircraft you are using as to whether it works properly or not, the Tiger Moth has this issue but the Hurricane Rotol doesn't, not sure about others but it is doubtful that your system is at fault.

not trying to hijack, but I can bairly hear the radio communications. Is this a common problem, or is it my problem. I need to be able to hear the radio to carry out orders.

Any solutions.

I have more speakers, and went from headphones to 4 speakers, and it seems to help... but the drawback is, of course, that I am now on speakers instead of the headset.. hough I still need to use the microphone that is part of my usb headset..

I just want to be able to hear the engine idle at a low level, a level that won't give me a headache and hear the engine ina linear, smooth increase as the sounds intensify..

instead of no sound until engine is reved up...

so, I suppose I have to continue using the speakers...

I use speakers in the lcd hdtv, and also speakers connected to the computer...
