Question NVIDIA PhysX Performance Patch

I just installed patch 1.02 and launched a new game but I don't see any new features : I simply can't turn Advanced PhysX Effects on in the options menu !

I'm using 2x GTX 285s (182.50).

Advanced PhysX Effects works only under Windows Vista or higher.

Yes the new effects are only noticeable with Windows Vista or Windows 7 (which is free).

Thanks, that's a rather stupid fact I had overlooked - but incidentally, I'm in Vista (x64). :/

(BTW, why on Earth does one need Vista/7 to get bloody PhysX effects nowadays ?)
Edit: only Nike-It's post mentions Vista, not the changelog.

nZone.com states you need to use DirecX10 which is Vista or 7 only.

Thanks, problem solved : Advanced Effects require Shader Model 4.0 hence the need for DX10, I suppose.

Are there any new effects to look after in Dream or Forest levels ??
