No, I guess the majority just don't feel the need to justify the choice!

I fly both red n blue really.
I too love the german bird but it all depends on what servers I play on..if I'm on a dogfight island map il take the hurri as it's the only plane the servers include which is half decent for the Reds..

However if I'm on the channel maps il take the E-1 just because you can dive hit and run, if you get caught with an EA co alt you can generally get away and of course the firepower especially if the 190 gets in.

I like to fly both as you aquire different skills, the way I fly is completely different between red n blue

Spit or Hurricane because I'm Bwitish. Although in IL2 '46 with Germany v Russia I fly Luftwaffe because our royal family are German and only related to the Russians.

I have yet to fly the Hurri online but after hearing people complain about the spit 1a i decided to take it for a spin and I have now got quite a few kills in it, so it might not fly like it should but it certainly isn't a bad aircraft to fly online by any stretch of the imagination...

Eh yes, the sound of this Merlins is something very special. Already in theme sound, after one of the few raids of the C.A.I. over Harwich with BR 20s by Nov 1940, the local Newpapers reported at morning that the bombers sounded like ‘rattling tin cans’ when they found out that Italians were responsible for keeping them awake.

RAF.

a) I'm Canadian and I like to pretend I'm flying as an RCAF pilot
b) There's something about a Spitfire. It's more than its statistical abilities and merits and flaws as a flying machine. It's the difference between driving a highly efficient Audi and driving a wonderfully handcrafted Morgan. Dunno.
c) I can understand the radio chatter without having to read the text!

Luftwaffe all the way. I am german. I am no nationalist or something. But for some reason i always tend to play my country. ROF was the same. Even thou the allied side had(s) the better planes).

I choose Regia Aeronautica because the shock hasn't worn off (of them being in BOB).
