Default Radio Chatter

Could someone explain the Radio Chatter functions please.
"Use radio chatter" & "Auto activation' on the setup panel.
I'm still not sure of what they are for.

Realizing that IL2's built in radio function is not that good and many use team speak, just for learning still would like to know what these functions do.

Found the corresponding conf.ini commands, but still cannot discover what these features are.
Any help please?

SoundFlags.UseRadioChatter=1, or 0
SoundFlags.AutoActivation=1, or 0

My guess is that the first enables/disables it outright, and the second is whether or not it uses voice activation.

I thought radio chatter was just a sound file that plays as a "music" track while you're flying?
I never have music on in any games so I can't say for sure if that's what it is though.
