Default IL-2 Cliffs of Dover Singleplayer Pack

IL-2 Cliffs of Dover Singleplayer Pack
(10th July through 30th August).
using TF 4.312

For you singleplayer enthusiasts out there.

Fly as a British Section Leader in a Flight in missions recreated based on this site: Battle of Britain Historical Society

36 missions, some with the creator's artistic freedom (lack of information countered with deployed Squadrons/Staffeln locations)

Number of inloved planes is cut in half (or even less) in general to keep performance for e-pilots with less computer power (as such each RAF Squadron is only 6 planes in two 3-plane sections).

During take off, twist you plane to check the plane in front of you and throttle up as the one in front of you takes off.
(On two column take off please ignore the 3rd plane of the Flight Leader Section ahead of you to your side as he will not take off until you're airborne)

Home Chain Radar implemented making Fighter Command to guide you to target via radio calls (direction, distance, altitude and grid every 1 minute) - no text pop-up's or similar.
(But try to keep up with your flight leader and his 3-plane section)

Mission Menu (TAB-4-1) allows you to call for nearest enemy or friendly contact or flight leader position.

I repeat, you need Team Fusion 4.312.

Download (2.7 MB 7zip) and unpack into '..\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD\missions\Single' or a subfolder in there

Did I mention you need the TF 4.312 patch?

and, don't get shot down as much as I did creating this.

Edit:
Found another interesting event at World War II Day-By-Day
Quote:
In a daytime raid, 10 Corpo Aereo Italiano Fiat BR.20M bombers attack Harwich, England, escorted from bases in Belgium by 42 Fiat CR.42 biplane fighters (other fighters including German Bf109s abandon their escort duties due to bad weather). RAF Hurricanes from 257, 46, and 17 Squadrons intercept them over the Thames Estuary, shooting down 3 BR.20Ms & 3 CR.42s and badly damaging 2 more BR.20Ms (no Hurricanes lost). Winston Churchill quips "They might have found better employment defending the fleet at Taranto."
Download (73 KB 7zip) and unpack into '..\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD\missions\Single' or a subfolder in there
Outside Battle Of Britain technically, but close enough

All installed smoothly

First Mission Report

I took off successfully and attempted to join up with the lead flight of three Spitfires.

I temporarily lost sight of them and turned to join my flight. At this manoeuvre of mine, the two Spitfires in my flight collided in mid air.

Now on my own, I saw a number of Ju 88s about two miles ahead. I closed fast and attacked the Ju 88 to the left of the formation. I scored a number of hits and as I flew over this aircraft, I noticed that it was a Blenheim.

I was successfully vectored by the Tower to our airfield and landed without event. However, on joining the taxi way my port wheel struck a very large mole hill and the a/c overturned.

My 15 minute sortie resulted in the loss of five RAF aircraft. Am I an Ace?

Best Regards From The Guardhouse,
MB_Avro

Ps Excellent set of missions! Many thanks!

Nice AAR MB_Avro, I see we are the same style e-pilots haha
Keep your section ai-pilots on safe distance using Formation/Wide (or what is called). thats what I usually do.

Bongo, easiest should be to drop them all in "\missions\Single" folder as that is the default viewed when going singleplayer in-game, but folks might want to keep that one tidy and clean.

Otherwise start clicking on "O.." (that circle at top) which will put you in the parent folder and so on.

Edit:
The horrid AI tend to fly pretty hard so don't hesitate to go full boost cut off to keep up with them.
I usually climb max 2000 ft/s to keep a good horizontal position and speed so I don't loose them (make that +6 boost and 2600 rpm with 50% radiator).
(them seem to climb at 3000 ft/s plus at times, no way in hekklafjell I can keep up with that at +6 boost)

My Combat Report as above has similarities with real life incidents in 1939/1940.

The 'Battle of Barking Creek'

http://www.northwealdairfieldhistory...-barking-creek

The first aircraft to be shot down by a Spitfire was a Hurricane

It's a reflection of the realism of this simulator.
