Default Friends of P-51 Mustang Purist Club/SIM/PS3

Friends of P-51 Mustang Purist Club

Hello Bomber Pilots and German Airplane Enthusiasts,

Many of you may have heard of the P-51 Mustang Purist Club before or may have read about it on this forum. We are a group of people who like to fly the P-51 Mustang and other planes in cockpit view and with the most difficult settings made possible by the game - with full sensitivity on elevators and ailerons and without HUD.

Until now, we have flown the same aircraft models against each other in our club games, which seems best to level out the enourmous differences in aircraft performances and where the skill of the pilot comes out best. However after some trials we established that a skilled pilot in a P-51 under our Club rules (full sensitivity, etc.) can stand a fair chance against German planes, and be an effective escort for Allied bombers. Therefore we want to expand the scope of our club.

If you like to fly Bombers and/or German planes in SIM on PS3 and would like to take us on, or be escorted by the P-51 Mustang Purist Club, you can now do so and join Friends of P-51 Mustang Purist Club. Everyone who is not yet member of the P-51 Mustang Club can apply.

For all games of the P-51 Mustang Purist Club vs. Friends, the following rules apply:

- SIM only
- limited Fuel and Ammo
- who dies less, wins
- P-51 Mustang Purist Club Members fly mainly the P51-D5 or -B, but may also fly other allied planes with cockpits, bombers and German planes if needed
- P-51 Mustang Purist Club Members will fly with the usual Club rules, i.e. Cockpit only, full sensitivity, no HUD*
- Friends of P-51 Mustang Purist Club fly German fighters and bombers, or Allied bombers
- Friends can configure their German planes or Allied bombers in any way they like, i.e. sensitivity, HUD
- however Friends are encouraged to chose as high a sensitivity setting as possible**

Information on Games and Special Games can be found on this thread, or on the P-51 Mustang Purist Club Thread. The lastest version of the rules, and members lists will be maintained on the first posting of this thread, so come back and check for changes frequently.

To join, reply either here or on the P-51 Mustang Purist Club Thread, or contact me either via PM or per PSN message.

Looking forward to exciting battles in the skies of Europe!

Special Club game: AERIAL BATTLES - P-51 MUSTANG PURIST CLUB AGAINST LUFTWAFFE

The Aerial Battles are played in Strike Mode. Ground targets must not be attacked. Sole purpose of the game is to establish Air Superiority by counting fewer casualties than the enemy. The game is played on three maps: Britain, Bulge and Berlin. See post #31 for details.

* In case a P-51 Mustang Purist Club member needs or wishes to side with Friends or to fly a German plane, he will fly with full sensitivity.

** For those who use the PAD and want to fly with full sensitivity, a custom layout is highly recommended. Information on how to customize the PAD can be found here.
