Default What are the differences between the different nations infantry?

Does anyone know which smgs, rifles, and lmgs are better and worse. Are any stats online, where I could compare each nation? If not, who do you feel has the best weapon in each category?

That's what I like in MOWAS: it's balanced and almost every weapon got its right to exist. There is no "best", just "best" for a certain role.
The MG42 is nice, high rate of fire, good accuracy but also ammo consuming. The Stg44 is great. And ah, yes, the Molotov is the best, it can kill a Jagdtiger.

they'r balanced in a certain way, but no. they'r not all the same

I'm going to compare only regular horse-worker infantry for this, (regular rifle squads, smg infantry, no elite troops taken into comparison).

Germany:

best machinegunners in game (MG34 with 50 round ammo belts, very high RoF, good accuracy), average riflemen, average-poor SMG infantry (MP44 with low Rate of fire, STG-44 is better but still also suffers from slow fire rate, but higher firepower).

Anti-tank abilities: Average.

USA:

Superior SMG infantry (Thompson guns have great rate of fire and a tad better accuracy), great riflemen (M8 Garand... now I think it suffers from 10m less range then other regular bolt-actions, its still a deadly weapon, and gives american riflemen storm abilities, and can join SMG soldiers in attacks instead of hanging back and providing fire support, which is the job of most other nation's riflemen). Average-poor machinegunners, BAR gun only has 20 round magazine, abit low RoF, but good firepower.

AT abilities: Average.

USSR:

Deadly SMG infantry, with very dangerous PPSH-41 SMGs. average riflemen, and good machinegunners. best used in normal offensive conjuctions, with Machinegunners and riflemen hanging back in cover and providing support with SMG soldiers leading the attack, the PPSH-41 is quite arguably one of the best automatic weapons in the game, high RoF, good accuracy, good firepower, excellent magazine size (71 rounds, plenty of firepower before having to reload).

AT abilities: good, with riflemen also carrying Molotov cocktails, which can be used both against enemy personnel and vehicles, and provide a great offensive advantage to soviet troops. most other nation's riflemen don't carry AT weapons

Japan:

despite being my favourite faction, they have quite possibly the worst infantry ingame. their SMGs badly lack fire-rate and firepower, their machinegunners are below-average, 30 round magazines and low fire rates, their riflemen are regular, but enjoy some AT ability as they carry hand-bombs (poor AT weapons, require time to detonate, but can be used against personnel).

AT ability: somewhat above average, since japanese riflemen carry hand-bombs, which is better then nothing.

UK:

great riflemen, Lee-enfield rifles with larger magazines and better rate of fire, average SMG infantry, Average machinegunners.

AT ability: average.
