About Monitors
I’m looking towards upgrading from my 24” 16:9 to a larger monitor and I’m wondering what is in common use these days.
Is there anyone playing IL-2 on say a 32” 21:9 monitor? That would be my extreme end if IL-2 could scale to it. IDK? My general thinking runs to 27” 16:9 2k 144 refresh. I know I’ve got the card to manage that graphic scale but I’d really like to hear from my fellow players on what they’re using and how the gameplay is. Cheers Oh Chute! |

I went 24" to 27" and I can't see any larger been worthwhile....if you play at a desk, as 27" totally fills my field of vision.

If your monitor is 1080P, do you get more ‘out side’ of the cockpit real estate? Or does the airplane cockpit scale up so all visual real estate remains the same as when at 24”? Cheers Oh Chute! |

My 27" is 1920x1080, The whole cockpit scales up so you do still see the same thing as 24" just bigger, that doesn't sound much better but it actually is, and also the enemy planes at distance are just a little sharper.
With 24" I could stare at the screen and see all corners, but with 27" I need to turn my head a little to see in the corners, so it feels more realism. |

Thank you again for giving me your experience. I had thought that the game would scale up if there was no reciprocal increase in the resolution. I definitely want more exterior real estate and the sharpening of the interior a higher res will bring to my instrument panel will be greatly appreciated. Hearing from others who play the same game goes further than reading reviews. Thanks again.
