Default second bonus mission

can someone help me on this one?
you have to siege a fortress (which is easy) and seal off the dwarven entraces which is also easy)

but getting to that &*^#$#@*&$ dwarven hero is just IMBA!

how the hell am i supposed to get there

he has 2 dwarven nobles which only my heroes seem to kill easy but then in next round i lose my heros because of his artilery and archers -.-
it's OMFG

someone give me some advice on killing that pussy hero ^^

2 ways:

1) fast: lure his troops out (requires trail and error) with your most expendable units
2) slow: use your artillery to destroy his troops from the other side of the mountains (use zeppelin for scouting and final blows)

i tried luring his troops out but it are way too many

(playing on hard BTW) ^^

dunno if that makes difference though ^^

the campaign missions are way too easy

due to lack of turns i can't get gold :/

but i was already thinking of the artilery thing but does that mean i can take out his hero? ^^

You can kill the hero with your zeppelin. The only units that can hurt your zeppelin are his archers. You can kill the archers with your artillery.

You don't need a gold victory in a bonus mission to get the cool item.

Just completed this and there are no zeppelins, only Eagles to choose from.

I got gold medal and an artefact that increases charge and move points, not really worth it for all the stress it put me through

buy ballistas when you lose a unit and let the ranger enter villages when you have cleared them and max him out to level 5 as he is very useful in the forests.
