Hmm... The last ones worked great for me (ATI). Will I be giving up any "eye candy" by using this new version?

Thanks....

The water is now purple. It turns a lighter purple near the horizon and the reefs/shallows are fully visible.

It is also two dimensional (no animations).

Thumbs up Ver.28022008 tests

Thanks crazyivan1970,
Have just tested the new DLL's on my system - everything looking very good. I have sent test ntrks and system specs direct to IC for checking.

You sent the ntrks for checking? What's that good for? With ntrks you can show them where you fly and how, but AFAIK those tracks are rendered locally, they can only see if they got any problems on their machines where and how you've flown, not how your machine renders the flight.

Can anyone check Crimea, 12:00 around 1500m alt, weather set to THUNDER, flying parallel to the coastline and banking the plane to the left/right to see if the foam coastline changes its color from almost white to pale light brown?

Not sure if it was before, if it was I hadn't noticed it. I have AA set to 4x. I've sent them a mail with pictures, track, conf ini and my computer specs

Anyone with ATI getting 1-3 seconds freezes with new DLL? And very unstable FPS?

ATI 3870 X2, Catalist 8.2

Haven't noticed that so far. Only played for an hour or two with the new DLL's though.

These seemed to be a slight improvement for me; with the 2/15/8 DLL's I got 37FPS avg on The Black Death, with the 2/27/8 ones I got 40 with the same settings (avg result of 5 runs each). Using Sapphire X1950XT, 7.11 cats, 1280x1024, water=2.

I have noticed some things seem blurrier (compare the briefing map icons or aircraft markings for example), but the AntiAliasing seems much better. I was getting jaggies with the 2/15 dll's even with my vidcard's AA maxed out, but these new ones make things quite smooth. This is with all graphics settings remaining the same, only replacing the dll files.

I have issues on the simple desert map with the coast line and some ground textures during bad weather. I have a Pentium IV system with a 7800GT, drivers 169.28 (water=4). I didn't have these issues with the previous DLLs. Have track if you need to locate the exact spot but should be obvious.

Images (will be up in a sec, bear with me):
