mouse pointer missing

i run a sony laptop with windows 7 and a bluetooth mouse. i have kings bounty platinum edition. the mouse pointer does not show even though mouse functions seem to work . ie the zoom and click motions operater but i see no pointer . any suggestions ?

i found that having the mouse cursor trailer turned on in mouse configuration, prevented me from seeing the mouse pointer. good luck.
