Hiya! Regarding save game compatibility..

Hello there! First: Space Rangers 2 is a fuking awesome game!! I absolutely love it! ) (please continue making more Space Rangers'!!!!)

But i was thinking: i've been playing sr2 for a quite some time now, and if i now install SR2:Reboot, can I continue my old save or do i have to start a new game? I dont really want to start a new game after all this playing, but if i have to, is it worth it?

As I recall, you can upgrade and pick up with Reboot where you stopped playing SRII. Or read any older save files. SRII will not read Reboot's files. So, Reboot is a backward compatible upgrade.
