1C is developing a new Star Wars game?
A little birdie has informed me that in the latest issue of PC Gamer, 1C’s president, Boris Nuraliev told PC Gamer that they are working on a new X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter. Any truth to this? Someone else please confirm this!!!

I dont think this is true because as we all know Lucas arts is developing Star wars games not 1c. The latest Star wars game was released for 360 PS3 1 month ago but not for pc because they said(Lucas art) that they dont want to make a pc version!! I am very angry of this. I hope that if this true then the game will be pc exuslive...

My understanding is that Lucas Arts no longer wants to make Star Wars games after Force Unleashed is finished (which it is) but that they are still open to licensing the series out to other developers.
I'm still holding on that this rumor is true for now, but it probably isn't. |

The only star wars games that i ever played was those that was released back in 1996- 1997... I had a 486 100 mhz and i had played one of them(i dont remember the name) It was a stupid move of Lucas Arts to not release Force unleashed for the pc...

Eh, Force Unleashed doesn't look that good be honest anyways.
The Star Wars flight sims were classes though. Tie Fighter especially. And then there was X-wing, and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter followed by X-Wing: Alliance. All of those games were really great and sold very well on the PC. The flight sim series going over to 1C makes a lot of sense too, this is pretty much right up their alley. In the last few years, Lucas Arts hasnt released any star wars games themselves, but they have licensed it out to other developers. Lego Star Wars II was released earlier this year and that game is a ton of fun. Battlefront II was released a few years ago and that was okay. All of the best Star Wars games were released in the mid - late 90s and by Lucas Arts themselves. Once the Xbox/PS2 generation arrived, Lucas Arts started licensing the game out to other developers. yES I dont like consoles so much, I prefer 1000 times to play a game on the pc than the console. But if a game is not avaliable for the pc then the only solution is to play it on the console.
