To play the game on your mac you'll need to do it through a Boot Camp Windows install. It will NOT work through Parallels/VMWare due to the inclusion of SecuROM with the game (SecuROM doesn't trust virtual machines) so you'll have to actually start your mac in Windows to play.

Aha! That explains why I can't get the demo to run - I installed Parallels specifically to try this game. Thanks for pointing that out. I wish I had known about it a week ago.
