Default Is "Gutted" the best shot in IL2? (109 legend movie)

He is the one that made the movie "Messerschmitt bf109 the legend" there are some amazing shots in there.

What's the story on him? does he still play il2 anyone know?

I think he means that some of the deflection shots you see are easy offline because you can play with the cockpit view off, get your kills, and then replay the track switching the cockpit back on.

Online, no choice, you have to make the defelction shot by instinct, not with a Wonderwoman (glass plane) view, as the Cockpit (on non arcade servers) is locked on.

Offline, easy kills, online...skill will always prevail over luck.

Okay i understand. I read somewhere that he swore it was done with cockpit on though. However on simhq someone brought up that it might have been on 100% realism as the gunsight is very still, no bounce.

if you look closely, you'll see that in some of those shots unlimited ammo was on. At least that's what it looked like to me. Secondly, notice how close he gets before he fires.

Default Difference of opinion

Offline=easy kills, online= hard kills...... that's a load if I ever heard it. Too many assumptions being made without regard to the given player and their setup.
However, I do agree that it's easy to setup in Wonder Woman view and shoot away like a pro just for the sake of creating a movie about an airplane and it's status in history. Does not matter if the person who created it was doing everything they could to get easy kills if the prime reason was to show how good the Experten were in WWII IF that was the focus of their movie making.
But if they pass it on as their skills under full realism, then anyone who does claim will face detailed criticizing and that's just a natural progression of being that good. If they truly do well, they should stand up just fine under criticizing Flight Simmers.

For all we know those shots may be real, but have taken quite a few attempts before they were right, to most that have flown Il2 for a long time none of the shots were that difficult as to be impossible, even in full real settings, although having said that they are not the type of hits you would be likely to get in every fight.

As the movie is depicting the 'experten' I think you would expect to see a compilation of the makers best shots, either way nice work and hats of to Gutted for taking the time to produce it, another positive with these movies is that they might also attract more people to fly the Sim and thats got to be a good thing!
