Default HD Cinematic Flight Sim Graphics

S~!

Now this is how graphics for a flight sim are done. The scale, lods, effects ect are perfect. Just look at the object count !!!!

I couldn't get it to embed here so you will have to double click it to see it in HD

Looking great!

Gives a new meaning to eye-candy

BUT... Too exagerated, IMHO. It looks more like a Hollywood production than a flight simulator. Many effects and everything else, looks great, but isn't realistic.

Or anyone here dare to say what we're seeing looks like real life environment? It just doesn't. The whole gaming atmosphere is too dark, ground colours don't match real ones... For those who travel a lot or will travel during the end-year holiday (specially those going to fly over the areas shown in the game), please take some pictures of the terrain during the flight, and compare with WoP ones. It's quite obvious that they are exaggerated, in orded to create a more 'dramatic' atmosphere around the game.

I'm not saying I dislike the game or the graphics, just loved everything there. But, if realism matters, I'll stick with Storm of War textures .

Fully agree with Lucas. You may have a ground that would look "similar" if you have a thick overcast weather everywhere, but on a clear day, the ground look much more brighter and vivid.

Yup, the game is too cinematic, which makes you wonder whether you are watching a movie or playing a flight simulation game.

Looks like a painting, not like reality.

Weapons seems to shoot alternate, not same time. This is true for the spitfire, not sure about other planes!

Same for all planes. I have the Xbox 360 version of the game, and that is one of the things that really bugs me.

Credit where its due though, they have done wonders with the old IL2 engine, and reading through the forums it seems that this runs as smooth as silk which Il2 never did and still doesn't. Has of yet SOW's landscape fails to compare to Wings of prey, hopefully that will change.
