Default 30 mm U.S ammo.

I cant belive the U.S 30 mm are made whit buttle whit butter.

flying red its usuall see he small caliber dont works on many times.... for exemple try shot down a SM76 whit one hurricane ( eight guns ) ... its impossible mission...

small caliber, all we know need more damage power but its posible cause of this, are limited damage model of planes this small caliber cant works better... maybe

But i really doubt a Ju88 can receive more than 6 30mm shots and continue fly ... only some fuel lack... really this US 30 mmm gun its a joke

another example.... you can kill a Panzer2 whit 20mm cannon of lagg-3 , you need shot on especific point and tank will be destroyed. panzer 2 its a indestructible for US 30 mm canonn...

My ask it, really the US 30 mm have this low damage level? this its correct?

You are aware that there was no such thing as a 30mm cannon in the US arsenal? What you are talking about is the 0.30cal light MG which equates to a metric caliber of 7.62mm.

I think he is talking about the 37mm gun of the P-39, which isnt weak at all I think. One or two hits is enough to kill any aircraft in the game.

The 37 mm is powerful indeed, but not ideal for deflection shooting, it's quite slow. One shot in the fueltank of a bf 109 is BOOM! And japanese planes are flying cigars, in general, so that isn't a problem for the cannon.

I saw a Corsair armed that way in CFS 2 once. That's when I quit CFS2.

After playing the game for sometime, you learn where to shoot.
Such that even the 303's can be deadly, but it takes a bit of time and patience.. you'll get there, but just enjoy the 'ride' in the meantime.

The 37mm is really of any practical use only against something flying straight and level, and that allows you the time to properly line up to it. It's RoF is way too slow to be reliable in maneuvering deflection shooting. If you score a hit with it in this circumstance it is because you got lucky.
