Default Strategy on upgrading units and giving perks....

Hi,

I was just wondering...

1) Is it better to upgrade a unit as soon as you get a chance, or once the unit reached a certain level, (like 5)?

2) Is it better to give perks before or after you upgrade a unit?

3) And should perks be giving right away, or is there any reason to wait?

Default Perks

There's a couple exceptions to this advice, but it will save a lot of technical explanation:

Do Not assign perks to Goblin Looters, Orc Mobs, Orc Stabbers, Peasants, or Militia.

For the most part, the perks for higher classes are better and more appropriate for their type.

Also, be careful about changing "class" pathways. For example, I would not upgrade a Bowman (with perks), to a Crossbowman.

That's just a few basic tips. After you play the game for awhile, you'll notice the exceptions.
