Default Beware of the Hun in the Sun, another CoD youtube video by me...

New video up!

Another little movie from Cliffs of Dover. Flying online again and scrambling my Spitfire from Hawkinge. Here are the famous high-noon colours. I think they are just fine, but, hey, I thought that about the old colours as well... Most settings are on high, and I personally think the graphics are smashing.

- Since the sounds were revamped the engine start-up is even more enjoyable than before, though with a few glitchy moments when the sound of the other Spits drops out. The whine of the Bf-109 supercharger as the damn' vulchers fly by is just superb. The same cannot be said for my prowess against human opponents, but I'm sure I'll learn, and meanwhile it is lots of fun, even when things suddenly take a turn for the worse!

Enjoy this one, and as always, comments very welcome!

Cheers,
Freycinet

Another great video. I like it when you post because the hopes are kept up.

When you lost the Mess in the sun, and he came up, 'whoops!'

has happened to me before (il-2). . .

Any case this game is coming along great!

Thumbs up

Hehe you never cease to amaze me with you like every one else's flying and extraordinary commentary. That letter to your mother at the end was genius.
Good job.

It was more at the unexpected letter appearing than your imminent demise

Great video,

Always enjoying your creations. Wish there was an option where you could only zoom into the cockpit and not the outside world, would be more real life like.

Keep it up!

Oh, but there is such an option: I just have to lean forward with my TrackIR gear. Then I get closer to the instruments.

As for the outside world zooming, I guess it just serves to overcome the limits of monitor resolution. I personally think of it as the equivalent of "concentrating hard on looking at a far-away object". The zoom limit in CoD seems pretty realistic to me as a representation of the detail level you'd be able to see with your unaided eyes. It is not a sniper scope...

(One day maybe they could make a further zoom level simulating the binoculars some fighter pilots reputedly brought along with them. It should be implemented a bit like the gunsight view we have now, but "more clunky" so that it couldn't be used in the middle of hard maneuvering)
