Thumbs up Different campaign paths

Hello,

I an new to this forum, and just started playing SW3 for the first time a few days ago.

First off, BIG thanks to Trucidation for the FAQ guide, it has helped me big time, also BIG kudo's too DracoGriffin on steam, don't know if he's here or not maybe under a different name, anyways, he's beginners guide to get me to free roam was the big difference in really getting through the "prologue" and into free roam where in my opinion this game excels . as i read some where this game treats you like a veteran from the beginning and i think this may be the reason for some of the bad reviews, even on easy it is REALLY hard for a newbie in the SW universe, where dying is even easier than breathing

To the question: i really would like to do the NESF campaign first, but i am unsure how to get to it, and searching these forums have not provided me with the answer, from my reading there seem to be some kind of crossroad at some point where you get to choose, maybe im not there yet, as i have been free roaming like hell , at the moment i have said no to viper, no to triada, and just got an offer to go to inoco space, so i guess i am at that crossroad, but how do i get to the NESF side of things

The main story path leads you to a moment when you must choose where to go: MSF base, Mercenary Base or Triada base. You get a hard save actually called crossroads when you reach this point in the game so you can go back to that point if you wish to change your mind. Follow Greyhair's advice and go the merc route if you wish to follow the NESF storyline.

And welcome to the community!

Hello Again,

The crossroads save only lets me decide if i want the Astarte or not, there is no mentioning of any faction also, after that i can choose Alex mission where i get 1.000.000 to escort him, after that i can only choose to talk to MSF or Triada, MSF asking me to do missions for Viper, Triada, doing the sattelite deplay mission, if i decline that i will be asked by a Inoco to come into theyre space...

There is one point where player can miss NESF line, its in Betha Lathera, when you have decision to go to point where is Greyhair thinking the destroyed conwoy is or you can wait for MSF patrol. If you waited for MSF patrol, you will not have NESF line as you are missed the fighter wreckage.

Hi,

couple of weeks ago I decided to lead my pilots in exciting battles again. This time I chose the MSF path and followed Trump later. But instead of having the final battle in Eridan adm. Trump lead me to the Kyoto system.

I have to add that I liked the battle in Eridan more than the one in Kyoto. Does anybody know what I did wrong during the storyline?

thanks in advance.

Nothing, as there are only 2 possible endings in MSF. One is in Trump line, second is in Viper line. The Tramp ending is the best in MSF line.

Eridian is possible only in NESF line when you arent able save Trump.

There is No USS path, USS is only part of Triada path - one mission for Ethan Fry (he is ally with Aja Shumova from Triada corporation). Pilots at Triada path are mixed Alice (USS) and Aja (Triada).

There are five main paths. Triada, NESF, NSF, Inoco, and Independant.

You start Triada by going to Triada

NSF by going to the NSF

NESF by going to the mercenaries

Inoco if you fail the mission for any of the above, you will get a message to go to an Inoco system and you can do their mission.

Independant if you fail a mission after officially starting a path.

Each of the main paths also has sub-paths. NSF has Viper vs Trump, Inoco has AI vs CEO (forgot their names), Triada and NESF also have their branches but I know nothing about them, although I do know there are a few branches were you can join the greys.
