Yes, I do. I guess the map is divided in squares and what we do see here are its boundaries.

But wait! I have something different I can show to you ... stripes at the coast line ... into land or out to the sea ... whatever you like ...

BTW, here are my PC specs:
  • Win7 64bit
  • Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P mobo
  • AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
  • Corsair DIMM 4 GB DDR3-1333 Kit
  • Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 Vapor-X Grafikkarte 1GB GDDR5

Still waiting for the patch or some money to get a new GFX card ...

S!

You can get rid of that flickering line in horizon by opening you GPU control panel and overriding the Anisotropic Filtering to 8x or 16x. Costs a few FPS, but the line is gone. Might also help with the "sticks" Genosse mentioned.

Also you can get rid of them by disabling the desktop if you're running w7

Default Thank you, folks!

Unfortunately none of your hints did help.

So I may keep waiting for better weather then.

  • Right click on the Start button and click on Properties, or right click on any empty space on the Taskbar and click on Properties.
  • Go to the Taskbar tab.
  • To turn on Desktop Preview (which is also the default setting), check and tick the Use Desktop Preview checkbox.
  • Enable of Disable Desktop Preview
  • To Turn Off Desktop Preview, uncheck and untick the Use Desktop Preview check box.
  • Click on OK.

Yes – get rid of them by setting the ‘Land detail’ to ‘High’, but then you have to lower some other settings to compensate. See my separate post about this.
