Unhappy Can´t get Perfect mode to work

Hi guys,

so I got a new PC and did a fresh install of IL2 1946 patched up to 4.14.1.
Everything works except for the perfect Mode in the graphics section.
Game is running on OpenGL setting but Perfect Mode is still grayed out in the Options Menu.
I already tried to change to Hardwareshaders=1 in the OpenGL section of the conf.ini but after I start the game it resets back to Hardwareshaders=0.

PC Specs:
Gigabyte Z590
Intel Core I5-11400F
AMD Radeon 6600 with latest AMD Software 22.10.1
16GB RAM
Windows 10Pro 64bit

Maybe someone can help me with that Problem

Did you also post this over at mission4today. That forum gets more use I think so a better chance of someone helping you.

I'm no tech guru, but let's see if I can help ...

Have you maxed out all your graphics settings in the "Setup" panel? From memory, Perfect will be greyed out if you don't have certain fields set high enough. You might also need to be set to your native resolution for Perfect mode (I don't know, but it wouldn't hurt to try).

Setting your config.ini to "Read-only" might work with the hardwareshader issue too, but then you will have to remember that your config is read-only.

If you still can't get it to work, try posting your config.ini here, or at M4T as Marabekm suggested, and someone might be able to see the problem.

And if you can get it working in 4.14.1, be aware that 4.15 is also available now if you want it.

Graphics Panel is all maxed out. I also checked if my conf.ini was read only and its not.

I also upgraded to 4.15.1 and it was quite a hassle to get the sounds working again but in the end DSAOL XP worked but only on with my speaker setup.
With my Headphones I still get no sound.

Its not the game its something to do with your 3D card or drivers, I think Il2 still need DX9.0? I am pretty sure Win10 does not come with DX9.0 anymore
Some really new 3D cards even have poor legacy support for old 3D games DX/OpenGL.
