Default Monastery (Chapter 5) Boss Fight

Dear Heavens! I'm playing through on Demon Crusher difficulty at the moment. Taking on our friend with the hammer in the Monastery courtyard/cloisters is seriously hard. I found a safe place to camp and managed it that way but only after dying on a lot of occasions.

However, this was so tough, I wondered if any of you experts had managed it using straight run'n'gun? If you did I'd love to see the vid. There's not one on YouTube.

Cheers
