Default editing Ai.ini

Hello everyone,
I've run into some problem I just can't figure out.
I've reinstalled SW 2 (yes, very brave, I know) and installed the Real SW2 mod. Then I tweaked a bit in some skript and ini files and started playing.
All went well until I started drawing in the first loot into the mothership.
I edited the variable moduleadsorbtionradius and moduleadsorbtionspeed to 10000 and 500 to make loot gathering less of a nuisance.
My editing seemed to have no effect. All other editing works fine. I tried reinstalling, without the mod, step by step, using other values... the editing of those two variables seems to have no effect.
Has anyone else encountered this? Have I forgotten something crucial?
