nvidia driver 295.73 and graphics problems
Hello all,
I recently updated to the latest nvidia drivers and all of a sudden artifacts begun to appear - black boxes over planes and black spots over the sea (those are the ones I encountered so far). Also I experienced a CTD in single player, which is new to me (all of my other CTDs were during MP). I had no graphics problems up until now - maybe the issue is SLI related? system spec: core I7 2600K P67A-GD53 8GB DDR 3 ram Geforce GTX 560 Ti X 2 - SLI mode |

I'm running Sli and the 295.73 Drivers and don't have any artifact problems, see my sig.
Also this may help with CTD, my reply to a post in the Tech section. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had a similar problem with my Launcher.exe where it failed and would either not launch or crash. Found that the problem was connected to removal of some software that I had deleted. It had taken out some "shared" dll's that were required by CoD. A re-install of SP1 for W7 resolved the problem and have not had any further problems. Also check and see if you have had any recent MS updates that might be corrupted, if you have try system restore and see if that cures the problem. When you get a lot of updates all trying to install at once for some reason some get corrupted during the process.

For some time I've been experiencing black screens esporadically (black screen freezes, sound continues but always same, and Ctrl-alt-del to end launcher) , but since I updated to new drivers artefacts appear on the screen as black squares in certain zones and areas of rare texture. Gigabyte 560Ti here, no SLI.

sounds like i'll have to wait for the graphic engine upgrade, I don't want to roll back my nvidia driver...
wonder if it is nvidia related bug only. |

Desertowl,
Have you tried to get the best you can from your Sli through nvidia inspector? some of us had problems getting Sli to work reasonably. Have you tried my Sli setup? if not I will repost it here for you.

I haven't seen the SLI optimization setup guide and i will gladly try it, but from what i see here the problem is not SLI related. |

DesertOwl,
Here is the information that I posted on Sli in the forums some months ago. You will need Nvidia Inspector to get the benifit of this program and that is available as a free download. These settings are what I use and are a workaround for Sli until an official Sli is released by the developers. Alot have found that these work well for them while others do not. I have fps over London in the London Attack SP of 40---60fps with only minor stuttering when looking at the ground for navigation. My Sli is much weaker than your's so you should get realy good fps. Also use EVGA Precision tool which will give you fps, temps and % that both cards are using ( MSI also has a similar tool) these are free dowloads and will work with all Nvidia cards. Using this type of tool will indicate wether or not your Sli is working or not. If you find that one card or other is only running at idle temp (about 35--37 deg) then Sli is not working as it should. Also see this post of mine, these are my basic Nvidia Inspector settings http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=26236
