Bug? Screen is pitch black after loading a game

Hi,
whenever I load a saved game, the screen is pitch black.
I can see the HUD, but not the action.
It seems that sometimes it helps if I discharge my weapon (or get shot) a few times and move around a bit.
Though it is pretty disappointing because I cannot always save in a safe spot (where I would not be killed right away after I loaded a game).
Any workaround for this until the patch comes out?
