you don't have to kill yourself to get it. There is a vehicle right past the gate onto the street that I bombed and got the trophy.

I just bombed the gate and got it first time. The hard part was finding out that the Brandenburg gate is right next to the Reichstag (sp?) as ive never really been that familiar with Berlin.
