Default Still Nothing

It doesn't seem to like SLI. Even with SLI running, one video card is at 40% while the other is at 0%. I tried installing SLI patches, but still nothing.

2 x 8800GTX

I just pre-ordered Real Warfare 2 Northern Crusade on Steam and downloaded the free Real Warfare 1242, however I am getting horrible FPS. I have got a i7 860 processor @3.3ghz and I have a ATI 5770 GPU with 8GB Ram. Total War looks much better and I can play on Ultra-High, but in this game, even with everything low it just doesn't run well. I average about 20-30 fps and when I get down to the infantry, that look horrible, my fps drops to about 10. Any suggestions to improve fps is greatly appreciated.

With your hardware you can set ultra, must be sufficient use a lower resolution respect that one you use (1680?).

The game has full field of view, the TW not, they have limited field. In TW if you set higher the resolution is seen the same area of map with the same angle of view, of the lower resolution one, only with different numbers of pixel. In this RW not , higher resolution ->higher portion of map and elements are displayed in, with the same camera position. This has a impact on fps performance because is not a simple pixel change.

Try to see the same map portion at the same distance with high and lower resolution, you will see the objects displayed are more in high resolution.

You can try also to set higher the pre-rendered frames value. THis will raise the performance of fps in rapport to your cpu power

That worked, thank you. Now I can enjoy the game until Northern Crusades comes out.

I am unsure of how to do that with an Ati Card though. I have checked and didn't see anything.
