Unhappy I have no clue how to finish this mission...

Hi there, new to the forum and the game.

I just started playing the game today (SW3: Civil War) and got to a mission where I'm supposed to hide inside a cloud full of turrets.
How in the ****** **** am I supposed to finish this mission? I can lure people in, but if I find them and fly back I get killed, Or I can follow the waypoints into the midst of the turrets but then the damn turrets shoot me down. =(

Hopeful for help...cause I sure need it =p

If you follow the path/waypoints you don't get killed.

I always use the tactical map or whatever it's called and go to the waypoints, but those turrets always shoot me down.
And I have no idea what to do when you choose the "lure them in" option cause wherever I go I get killed.

Are you getting killed on the way out? When going through this part of the mission, after reaching the center of the map I always fly high above the system plane; high enough to avoid the attention of the turrets on the way out. I don't have much luck here either, I always get shot at and blown up, which is why I fly over them.

Or you could shoot at the back of the turrets while you're in the middle, and destroy them before moving on (this may take a while).

I've just been right-clicking the waypoint in the map...guess that's a bad idea then =p

Really been going crazy, have tried avoiding the damn waypoints, tried following them, tried flying below the turrets......every damn way ended with me dying. (Eventhough someone said you should fly below them and that that might give you some loot)

For what any of this is worth:

You can fly over or under them, but it's *very* high/low.
About 3-4 screens-worth of height, so try going farther before trying.
Also, if you're trying for over/under, don't press directly on the waypoints until you're close to them.
iirc they are coordinates also for the Z-plane, not just X and Y.

They can drop the tier 3 pulse laser turret, I forget its name.
Not too common, though.

I understand that you're getting killed by the turrets, not the script?
Is it your mothership or your fighters that get fragged?

(The fighters try aggroing the turrets if left unattended.
Too dumb to live, I guess.)

Try:
Choosing the other option (where you pull in an NESF patrol to engage the turrets).
For bonus points: if you have torpedoes you can killsteal the Stone Arrow ;P

Disabling auto-launch fighters.
When Ternie wants to pull one, launch *just her* and bring her back.

There is, iirc, a large (bright pinkish?) asteroid inside the turret belt.
Aiming for it should get you through the turrets unharmed.

Zooming in on the tactical map allows more accurate movement, not that it matters in this case, since the waypoints are specific locations.

Will try that...cheers mate !

Just to leave my info hear my way of dodging all of those turrets is to fly at the left corner of the map and if turrets are usually seen simply just move away if your in firing range works for me everytime

I actually destroyed all of those turrets, they don`t fire at you if u are inside of that ring, when you move outside they split u to pieces. Then those enemies appear when u go to portal, but if u kill them then u are safe to proceed. U should acept the mission to give escort to that trader, it`s easier to get through the next system.
