Hell yea sign me up... But apologies to fellow VAS guys - I voted fresh teams. I know some of you have probably been itching to see organised combat for your flights, but I think the competition would be better off if the teams were balanced (i.e. Edal and Mirgervin* on opposite teams lol).

Just out of curiosity Edal, did you ever play EndWar?


* I don't think Mirgervin is in VAS, but there are a lot of good pilots who are...

never played end war, but I was fan of Age of Empires, Empire Earth, Company of Heroes, and other PC strategy games.

I dont think VAS vs Everyone else will be unfair teams at all because there are many new players that are dominating the skies right now (maninovka, mirgervin Ar_kozz, etc..) My first post on this forum was to sign up for the VAS squadron a long time ago and we just didnt really do anything with it. It would be great to finally make some use of VAS squadron but that is why I included a Poll, so that you guys can vote about it, after all, it is you guys that will make this tournament possible.

But if anyone of the pros could help me learn formation flying and wingman tactics sometime after Christmas, I'd really appreciate it.

I don't have a mic for the PS3 though.

Considering there have been no team competitions yet, team USSR could just be organized as team VVS.

Then it would be VAS vs VVS.

Penor flight could just be part of one or the other.

... and Mirgervin should get to be on team USSR too

how is formation flying going to work on maps where people respawn?

Each team will respawn on their side of the map for all events of this tournament (team deathmatches, capture airfield, and strike), so at first you will be able to fly in formation, real pilots try not to die and having a wingman will help you stay alive. In case you die you will respawn on your side of the map, if you like you can contact your team members or flight group and set a rally point, from there you can continue flying in formation.

I intend teams to be big in numbers so that you will at least find 3 or 4 members of your team online at any time and also 3 or 4 enemies.
