I've always wanted a pet stork, but its not the kind of thing you talk about, or really even admit to yourself... |

Good Day everyone,
I have some bad issue with the HD4870 (Sapphire) in IL-2 with and without version 4.09bm and all available Beta DLLs. have some very disturbed glitches with the Graphic's seen as in here by the screenshot. The first are the rainbowish colour glitch and the second is the blue glowing of the inside (Pit View) and outside of the Plane by firing the weapons or by the sunlight. To Reproduce the glitches only play the tracks F4F4 vs. G4M and BlackDeath To help here is my System with the Problem occurred: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 ASUS Maximus Formula with bios ver. 1207 HD4870 512MB Sapphire Brand Sound Blaster X-FI Extreme Gamer Fatality 4 GB of RAM OCZ REAPER PC 1150 Windows Vista Ultimate 64Bit SP1 / Windows XP 64Bit SP2 / Windows XP 32Bit SP3 Catalyst 8.9, 8.10, 8.11 settings are standard. guys change your config.ini and make these 2 settings are set to 0, this worked for me.
TexFlags.UseVertexArrays=0 TexFlags.VertexArrayExt=0 |

Changing these settings only got rid of the the weird glow inside the cockpit and outside when firing weapons. I too get the rainbow artifacting more so on the F4F vs G4M track then any other. This is the only game that I get this kind of behavior from this card (4870) which is annoying because I play it more than any other, but in saying this I can also confirm that after playing countless missions I have only got the artifacting a couple of time for only a fraction of a second while in the cockpit. I wonder if this could be addressed by ATI with a driver update.
