No, there isn't any demo for XP. I'd say it is worth the money, since despite its flaws Cryostasis is a very interesting, fun game. But be sure you have a good graphics card (Preferably, an Nvidia 9800 or higher, or an ATI HD 4870 or higher), because the game will have unplayable FPS if you don't.

I agree with Nightmare Hobo, Cryostasis is my favorite game (along with the first Crysis). I played the game maxed out (Shader Model 4.0, 16x AF) but with 1x AA, my GTX 260 CORE 216 was brought down to it's knees at some points. I run 1680 x 1050.

Also I don't suggest buying Vista at this point. While it is much better than XP, I'd wait for Windows 7 as the performance is better than both Vista and XP, and it will support DX11 for future games.

I'd say you're good to go, performance-wise.

If you have a fast machine (GPU). If you like horror survival games - e.g. Silent Hill. And would take a great and original story (on the level of Dead Space and Bioshock) any day over smooth and paced gameplay. If you are OK with paying for this game, play it just once (or twice max) and forgetting about it. Then go get it. It's a good experience, great new concepts and wonderful story, but make sure you're OK with the aforementioned first.
