Any tips for getting someone off your six?
Just wondering if anybody has any tips for getting someone off your six? Obviously depends on the planes that both of you are flying, but is there anything besides flying low and barreling that works? Cheers!

Maybe bluff, and act as if you were going to hit the deck? That always works for me, and also maybe barrel rolling above the enemy, and getting around on his six seems to work for me A LOT! And also, and this one works from time to time, but as they come to shoot, I usually cut my throttle, nose up and sorta break in the middle of the air. They pass right by, and then I just bring the nose down, and open up.

Flying the scissors works better when it comes to making the other guy overshoot, if your planes has a good roll rate, but again you have to make sure you don't start manoeuvring too early or you will give your opponent an easy shot. |

I often use a rather easy tactic to shack someone off.
Dive hit WEP Pull up and do a Immelmann, after that again a tight turn downwards, after that my six is mostly cleared, esp. against planes with weak climb rates. |
