I know you told me I could use it in the new project but I wanted to say what a great job you've done and that I plan to use the new Benicia model. I've made this new mission where I need a stripper to distract some guards so that I can sneak in behind their backs. This new model will make that much more plausible, it might even distract the player

3rd and 4th is for Benicia Alvares and Verchic . this makes Benicia compatible with the NightOps bodies (not required for this mod to work but recommended if you don't wanna get the sole texture bug when wearing vests, same applies to verchic) and turns her into a real Merc (superficially at least)
all the uniforms, accessories (helmets, nvg, belts etc) and tactical vests as well as uniforms are now visible if she wears them. Verchic also uses a different Portrait now. additionally they both get a new high res hotpants outfit. Download Benicia v0.3 Download Verchic v0.3 Last edited by MoreDread; 05-28-2010 at 09:34 AM. |

5. this is a sexchange (ow!) for cobra. that's right, he's a woman now. (asian kim's player model + portrait and sonar's speech files)
The background story and dialogue has not been edited yet... just ignore it or you will die of homophobia! Download v0.2 Here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ssyouv Last edited by MoreDread; 05-18-2010 at 03:45 PM. |

i have made a variation of the skin and some minor improvements to the original one. you should dl benicia and verchic again to get them. 6. The NightOps Uniform it has the camouflage effect of the sniper camo suit. it also contains the ski mask head and instructions on how to use it. additionally it upgrades the vendors in puerto viejo and all barmen around the country to sell the new uniform and nightvision goggles right from the start of the game. rico reyes in cali cantinos now randomly sells all uniforms that are in the game. this is an addon to the Blue Sun Mod 1.01 any attempt to use it without BSM or the wrong version of it might severely damage your game so be warned! Download v0.2 Here (adds a female version) please let me know if there are any bugs and post some feedback. i will post some updates every now and then. i have uploaded v0.2 because the first was only using the male model for all characters. i have added a female version (its an additional item, so pay attention to the items name, they share the same icon) Last edited by MoreDread; 05-18-2010 at 03:52 PM. |

Thanks, "when" does the suit work, missing belt, details...
MoreDread,
Thank you for making the night ops skin. It's the only one that I've tried thus far, and it looks really good in game. I have a few questions regarding it, and if you wouldn't mind taking a bit of time, a few suggestions as well. First, you state that it works like the gillie sniper suit. I just started playing 7.62 a few days ago, so I'm still learning about it. When you say that it "works" like the gillie sniper suit, do you mean that it adds a bonus to one's stealth capabilities? If so, does the time of day increase/decrease the bonuses? The reason why I ask is that the gillie suit would be just about impossible to detect at night, and very very hard to detect during the day. But the night ops suit, while extremely effective at night, wouldn't be quite as effective during the day. In fact, the gillies suit would outperform it during daylight hours. Is the suit setup to reflect that, and if so, could you inform us what/when the bonuses are? I've noticed that in spite of having an equipment belt, that it's not showing up in game. Perhaps you decided that it might look a bit strange to have a brown belt next to a black uniform, but its total absence is more jarring to me than the alternative. Also, is there any way that you could lighten the suit some? The details are almost impossible to see due to the severity of the darkness. While I hate to link to a toy-related website for images of what I mean, it was, by far, the most comprehensive assortment of highly detailed photos that proves my point: just because the materials are black doesn't mean that they're low in detail. Take a look at the images here, and you'll see what I'm trying to get at: http://toyhaven.blogspot.com/2009/12...ion-force.html Have to go. Thanks again for your hard work, and I'm looking forward to any of your other upcoming releases! |

this is still an early version of the uniform and it is really just a copy of the sniper camo suit with a different model and skin.
in other words: the time of day does NOT have an effect on its bonus to the camo skill. i have of course thought about the need for that, but i simply haven't figured out how to do it yet. doing that would require some coding, which isn't something i'm good at. maybe R@S will be able to help me fix that, but he has his own mods and a job to take care of, so that might take a while, if it happens at all. i might lighten up the skin a bit.. it looks a lil too dark at day. however i think it looks quite right at night, so i'm not yet sure about this. also i'd like to add.. the full black bodysuit retexture (the first mod) doesn't give any bonuses at all, only the wearable uniform. eventually i'd like to combine the nightops reskin and the wearable uniform into one mod, making them both wearable items instead of replacing all the mercs, and giving slightly different bonuses. for example the black bodysuit could give an additional bonus to the hidden stealth skill, and the uniform could have a little protection bonus. about the belt: it should be possible to add the belt mesh to the model of the uniform to make it visible.. however the uniform model has a slightly wider waist, and that might cause the belt to clip through. i'll have to test this and see what it looks like. thank you for your feedback. i'll report back when i've made some progress on these issues. EDIT: i added the belt models to the male nightops uniform and it did indeed clip through (the female version of the uniform already supports them) now the clipping ain't too terrible, but the belt is also positioned way too low. i then tried using the female belt models, which have a way slimmer belt. this way the entire belt is placed inside the male model, showing only the pockets. this looks alot better and the pockets are also positioned properly, but theres a downside to using this model... the pockets get deformed quite a bit when the legs are moving. to sum it up.. there are 2 possible solutions, but none of the two is a proper one. i'll upload the 2 different azp packages later today so you can try it and see for yourself if you prefer one of them... personally i think i'd rather go without a belt than with a messy one. sorry but thats just how it is... until someone finds a way to edit the game's character meshes theres nothing i can do about it. EDIT: sorry, i was busy and forgot to upload it yesterday. http://www.sendspace.com/file/m3mskl this is the one with the female belt on it.. simply extract the content of this archive to your 7.62/actors/monsters directory and overwrite the old file with it. if that doesn't do it for you, i can upload the other one as well.. just let me know Last edited by MoreDread; 06-04-2010 at 07:54 PM. |

Just got your "with female-belt" release. THANK YOU for the opportunity to test it out. I'll do so soon, and give you feedback ASAP.
Again, thank you for your generosity! |

I like it with the belt, but in all honesty, I wish that we could see more of it traveling about the entire waist.
I never realized that the uniformed units throughout the game are belt-free. Weird! Perhaps in future downloads you'll offer up a "with-belt" and "without-belt" options. Thanks again for going through the trouble of creating/releasing this. |
