Default which squad cuts through obstacles

i tried using the engineers to cut through barbed wire but got nowhere.Which the right team for the job?

I don't think such obstacles are clearable by infantry. You can either choose a different route or use a tank to blast them using the ground attack command or just drive over them.

while waitting for your reply i used artillery to destroy obstacles and open up paths.In another thread i ask for the skills each diff unit can perform such as engineers,what do they do and how do they influence a battle? same for the other units besides the usual combat skills.

AT grenades work. You can get a soldier to area attack with a Rpg41 that will blow barbed wire. Usually if he crawls within range. Sometimes they miss too.
