flying plane well will be nice in men of war but the game engine is just not made for flying.
as many of you who fly in the game know that when you try to take off the plane go sometime under the ground and you cannot see the plane when is up in the air and when is to high you cannot see it at all. this is for you guys who don't know this when flying press Shift+F when flying so you can see where your going but only in the editor. here are video for Example Last edited by SpeedWolf; 03-14-2010 at 06:42 AM. Speedwolf, that Shift+F thing only works in the editor....yes ive tried Its sad to, it would make flying planes in game easier for sure. Anoither thing that makes flying the plane tricky is it takes along time for it to level out after turning. PLanes are fun and powerful

Get a full crew then go into DIrect COntrol mode and hold down W then hit the spacebar and let go of W and hold down S for a bit to get your plane up. The planes in thisgame dont need to get to take off speed to get up so you can hold W for like a second to get it started then almost immedietly let go of W and take off w/ S. Its weird for sure

Wait, I reconfiguired my keyboard, so "s" is right for the camera.
Do you know what "s" did? I realize that spacebar makes the plain jump though is it possible 2 lock the view or something on the plane? edit: The plane always seems 2 go below ground or some other shit... I can't lock the view on it either. In direct control the aircraft simply "flies away" from the camera. Last edited by Nikitns; 05-10-2010 at 08:08 PM. |

What are your direct control movement keys? To take a plane off you first get it manned, then go into DC mode. Hold down your forward key to get it started and moving. Once its moving you hit spacebar, take your hand off the forward key and hold your DC mode backwards key. Once you have it at the altitude you want it, remove your hands off the backwards key. Then you simply fly it w/ your left and right DC movement keys. forward key puts it in a dive backwards makes it climb.
Also, I think its Shift F or Shift S to lock onto its tail...that works for any unit. The plane is a pita to follow though haha. Dont fly it very high and if your fast on moving your camera angles its not impossible to track. |
