Please help with UAZ 4X4

I have bought and installed UAZ. At the end of the installation I got a message that Windows media Player 10 is not compatible with the game (or something like that). Still I could finish the installation. When I then launched the game, the CD was verified and everything looked to be allright. Obviously yhe game started but the screen went black. I have GeForce 7600 and have also downloaded the newest Media Player 11. Help me please, what went wrong?

Yes, I did. It' s so long ago that I'm not sure, if I remember right. It was quite simple, just pressing enter or escape buttons a couple of times (don't remember which one it was, try both).
