Dominators defeated

I am 25 years into game play and have defeated the three main Domintors. I then return to a Rangers Station for the usual congratulations and am asked if I would like to see an Opera (I have no choice). When I click to see the Opera, the Credits start rolling and the game ends.
Is this supposed to happen? Anybody got any ideas - seems stupid to me. Perhaps I have to wait 30 game years before the Opera plays????

- hehe. thats what happened to me too.
- but i just started a new rangers career. not as nice as before. normal settings this time. had easy settings the first time, ended middle of the all time standings. bummer. noticed the settings (50-100-150-200% and custom)
