Red face Help with flying attack

Playing human campaign and have 2 eagles. When i shift and lmb click on the orcs flying blimp I can not get it to attack and do damage. Older player here and it just could be my memory because I thought I had managed to do this before. Any help on the correct way to do this would be appreciated. Ground attack is not a problem.

I believe you have to be next to the blimp to attack it. Other than that, I think it should work.
I was also thinking that one of the eagle types could only attack ground targets(bomb), but I may be wrong on that.

It can be tricky if the blimp has ground units under it. Try holding down the Shift key and then click to attack.

Thanks to both of you. Must have been a senior moment, sigh. I have quite a few archers so I was trying to attack from the eagles location in the same manner instead of moving it to an adjacent square.
