Default single GPU VRAM usage

Guys,

I've read lots of things lately regarding the game's (lack of) performance, and various systems behaviors.

I'm trying to make a pertinent decision from all this mess, and my feeling until now is that, besides the code being not really multicore and not using a second videocard/GPU, the most important resource for the game right now is the available amount of VRAM (when it comes to lack of stutters/high FPS).

Yet, I haven't seen yet some full tests for the maximum VRAM amount needed/eaten up by the game, at maximum settings and same resolution (say 1680x1050).

I would really like to see some VRAM tests (use AIDA64 for example) to see the VRAM usage with all the settings on max, on 1680x1050 over the London, for videocards with 1.280 GB/1.5 GB/2 GB/3 GB of VRAM, please.

Thank you.

my gpu-ram load is displayed with afterburner ingame onscreen and it fills up the 1.3gb of my gtx570 very fast. But after that it´s still playable without fps drop except big cities.
My theory is that there is no overload. You can compare it with Arma2. the game fills up the gpu-ram to 100% and after that there isn´t any fps drop.

Here are some article links that may be of help, as they discuss exactly what your concern is, Adonys. Perhaps someone can interpret these in simpler terms as they apply to CoD?

I can't check right now as I'm at work, but at 1920x1200, everything at max, SSAO and VSync on, flying over London I get ~1.7Gb used on the card in my sig.

I haven't flown for any extended period in the last week (waiting a bit for some nice AI patching to drop) but I'll post up tonight if I get a chnace to fly around for a while.
